Hospitality in the Park

Soo I have to say, not a whole lot happened after finding out we were pregnant! Just general excitement and hoping it might sink in soon??

I went to the doctors who were literally like, was it planned? Yes. Congratulations.. here's a self referral form to get yourself booked in with a midwife.

Oh, actually I say not much happened.. Connor and Emily came to stay that Friday night as we had a festival the next day!! So they arrived late Friday evening, all was well, we got into pjs and got chilling which was lovely. We had some dinner, which was delicious! They'd made vegan cauliflower curry and gave us loads, omg it was lush. (could eat it now!!)

Earlier in the convo Connor mentioned how he'd spoken to mum earlier about the festival and he mentioned how I am really annoying when I drink cos I'm very loud and just very out there (I'm very aware of this, everyone is!!) and mum had "joked" on the phone, oh maybe she won't drink this year.. Emily made a comment laughing saying that she cant imagine me ever walking out of the front door sober on the way to a festival (which usually is very true!).

So anyway, we went into the living room and sat to chill and chat... I knew I had to tell them the news even though it was really early cos we were going to Hospitality the next day and I was obviously going to be sober and this makes it soooo obvious because, honestly there's no other reason as to why I wouldnt drink! So I sat there, really bloody nervous/anxious which I didnt expect.. I thought telling people would be an awesome feeling of YAAAY but honestly, almost everyone I've told I've been sweating and not overly enjoyed the experience!

So I started by saying.. sooo you will be seeing me walk out of the door sober tomorrow.. and they both stared at me like wtf, I said because I'm pregnant!

Honestly, it felt like a good 10 minutes the whole room was silent. I didnt know what to do, no-one was speaking and I was sat there feeling so silly! Eventually I was like.. can someone please say something? And they were sort of like.. are you joking?? Is this serious? LOL

I can understand why they didnt believe me cos they didnt know we were trying and so it was sort of out of the blue.. especially as I'd not really changed my party lifestyle all that recently at all. But once they believed me, they were finally like congratulations! Hugged me and we continued on with the night.

The next day was awesome, I've never done a festival sober and honestly never thought I would! I really really enjoyed it and had such a good laugh, the only annoying thing was needing a wee and being too pee shy to go as the portaloos were gross and i wasnt drunk enough to ignore it!

Connor and Emily started to tell me later on how happy they were for us and what awesome uncle and auntie they were going to be, which was lovely haha.

Ant couldnt hold it in and so told his friend, which escalated to us telling the whole group - I thought they'd cotton on to me being sober but honestly I totally was gonna get away with it!! Everyone was really lovely, especially our close friends Matty and Ade. Love them!

Anyway, I did leave an hour before the end as my legs were totally done and I was tired, but we got home easily in a cab and I munched a curry when we got in and was in bed asleep by 11pm! Result!

I'm baaaaack

So I'm not gonna try and catch up, I'm just gonna start a fresh..

Anyway about a year ago I said to Ant 'soo when we having babies' and he jokingly said 'Tuesday the 3rd' so I looked in my calendar and the next was September.. anyway skip forward to July 19 and I'm bringing it back up again. We spoke about it and he kept to Tuesday 3rd September, BUT obviously I bumped this forward to August and started trying.

We had an awesome summer, in June we went to Nass. And in July to SW4 which was AMAZING and I knew in my head this was possibly gonna be one of my last festies for a looong while, we went to loads of parties and drank loads and yeah, enjoyed the last summer (for me anyway) of drinking.

SW4 was honestly the best!!!

So anyway, in August I drove myself a little insane, this was the first time ever I was trying to have a baby.. it was all so so exciting but I am also a bit of a craazy person. I was obsessed with googling symptoms, and making sure we had sex all the time at the right time.. I wanted to test EVERY SINGLE DAY. So yeah I was a bit of a stressy person (shock).

But I really surprised myself the following month, I decided, okay I've done the craziness.. lets take it easy now. Which was so much more of a relief! We kept trying on the right days and that sort of thing. Then about 3/4 days before I was due on, I had my bestie Lois over (she comes over every Tues) and so we thought lets test. I had loads of the cheapy ones you get off Amazon anyways.

So I take the test and we carry on chatting - we really arent paying attention at all...

Then few mins later we check it (also Alex, one of Ants besties walks in and we are sooo obviously hiding something, we jump out of our skin and laugh and just look totally guilty. Was so funny! He didn’t respond, probably cos we were being just so ridiculous and weird!) and the test looks pretty negative, but we look reaaaaaaally close and there's the faintest lil line ever. We didnt want to get our hopes up but we'd done these tests last month and seen nothing at all.

I did another 2 tests to see if the little line came up again and it did..again I'm trying real hard not to be crazy here. We get a tiny bit excited but dont want to get too ahead of ourselves...

The next day I did like what felt like 20 other tests,  digital ones that failed.. ones that said 'not pregnant' and reaally faint lines.

I called my mum and said 'so I've done a test' and straight away she was like ARGHHHHHHHH  I KNEW THAT'S WHY YOU WERE CALLING. She really was getting excited, which was awesome cos I was secretly screaming too but just had it in the back of my mind that I still wasn’t 100%.

I'd always planned that when I tell Antony it's gonna be all set up, have a lil camera filming and I hand him this little Harry Potter babygrow cos I know he'd love it.. but honestly, this all went out the window cos I didnt want to wait till we got home and do a big reveal I just wanted to tell him NOW.

So at lunch I set my phone to voice record (didnt want to film and it be really obvious) and I told him I think I might be pregnant.. his reaction was ..a very shocked face and a very scared 'wot' hahaa.. makes me laugh still. He was like 'What do you mean you THINK you might be pregnant' and so I explained the faint lines etc and he was like ‘ohhhh my god I cant eat’. (we'd met up for lunch)

So this was Wednesday and I was due on on Friday, so we waited till Friday to do another test and get our definite positive.. in the meantime Ant kept going 'ohhh sheeettt' every time he thought about it, haha! In a funny way.. he wasn’t freaking out tooooo badly..

Friday morning came, omg I was so excited.. Ant was lay in the bath and I did the test, sat down next to him and explained what we were looking for.. we were so nervous.. then eventually I flipped it over and there was a definite cross, our definite 'you are pregnant!' EEEEK! Antony seemed happy and was like 'yep there it is' bless him, still a bit like 'sheeet' haha. But was grinning and saying ‘we gonna have a baby!’

I sent the pic to my mum and to Lois and mum was like yaay! I knew it! Lois called and cried down the phone with happiness which made me cry and we just screamed and were very much like 'omg.. this is real WTF!'

So this I guess this is the beginning... and I am SO excited.

Weekend funs

On Friday, I finished at 5 and headed to the pub whilst I waited for Antony, wine time!

I ordered him a beer and send him a message to say I had done so and got the best response..

Anyway, he came and met me and we had a nice chill. His sister Hannah came and met us and we headed over to Nandos...

You can see where Hannah and Ginette bashed heads at first hahaha.

Me and Hannah seem to bounce off each other and can be a little.. loud together. We had such a laugh, taking pics and her blowing her peri salt at me making me sneeze haha.

Me and Ant then went onto the pub with his friend Jack, it was pretty casual to be honest. We went home and to be honest I think I was asleep before 11..

The next day me and Lois popped into Staines and I had the fun job of trying to find a skirt that fit my stupid child's body.

I tried on size 8 and 6 and they were too big..

Age 11-12 also too big.. age 10 too small..

It's such a hard life! I tried on like 12 skirts guys, it was so annoying.

Eventually I found an age 11 skirt and age 12 top to fit! FINALLY. Lois if you're reading this, I'm sorry about the actual long-ness of Saturday morning.

Honestly, I'm 24.. I really am.

So after shopping I went home and me and Antony moved some stuff from garden to skip and did few boring-y house bits.

We then went to Tesco and got some booze and Ant's mate Jack came over for a bit as he's going back to China soon, where he lives.

I got a chilled bath and started to get ready for our night out in Clapham for my friends' Emma and Maddie's birthday.

Went headed to Abby's and Hannah came and picked us all up and we went back to Hannah's and had a couple of drinkies.

Off we went to the train station and anyway eventually got to Clapham. The venue was called Fourthieves, it's a pub and has loads of video/arcade games.

It was really fun!

Antony got kicked out for being too drunk about 1! Haha so we went home via KFC and passed out.

Sunday, honestly we did... nothing.. nothing at all other than eat and go for a wee!

Garden/mancave pics

So I am up to date!

I just thought I'd put up some pics to show the garden and mancave progress as that's all we're doing with our lives recently..

We are so excited about the progress and the fact it's now taking shape so we can really picture what it's gonna look like!

Thelma and Louise

I dont know where this fits in to recently but I wanted to write about it..

Work has been hilarious recently.

We had a bit of a leaving do for a couple of the guys and we all had loads of grub in the office, we have a bit of a living area which is really cool.

There's a pool table, xbox, darts and loads of gamey things and teddys!

Anyway, it was such a laugh. One of the guys brought a nerf gun in and slowly but surely, everyone now has one.

We listening to music, few people had a couple drinks, it was a lot of fun.

So, since then everyone has got a nerf gun and it's been so funny. My manager got 2 delivered and so I've been using one.

I'm so glad I got involved as it is such good fun. I thought it was going to die down soon but it's just getting bigger and bigger.

This is me and my manager getting everyone! My director made the pic, it made me laugh.

Another worky thing that I've done recently is go to a Vitality Champ day.

This is a day out to learn a bit more about Vitality health/liofe insurance which we're all covered by through work.

So I am officially a Vitality champ.. at first I was so nervous thinking whyyyy am I doing this!?

But I am a little excited now to tell people about Vitality and try and get everyone at work motivated to exercise/eat well etc, even if they dont want to!

They gave us prices to give out the our team and so I am gonna make up some competitions and try and make a big thing of it.. I know that my managers would like that too.

The day was really fun, I was alone and a lot of people were in pairs from their work. But I met some really nice and interesting people.

There were some people that has won gold in Olympics as well, they were awesome! The host as well was really fun and had such a good sense of humour!

So yeah, I hope that the nerf wars continue and I hope that this Vitality things goes well.

Lifting ladies

So, what else is there to cover!

Me and Emma went to a Ladies that Lift session, I go most weeks but I've been trying to get others to join me for ages!

It was awesome, Emma is really strong and it was so good to have a friend there to make you feel more confident too.

I wish that Emma would come every week but, understandably doesn't wanna spend the extra ££ + the gym etc.

We did nordic curls.. which I've never done before. Emma held my feet/calves and then I slowly lean forward using hamstrings and erm.. behind your thigh and then try and get up not using your hands that much..

Hoping the video uploads:

Erm next.. I got my hair done! Nice and blonde:

I wonder what my hair will be like when I read this back ad I have a habit of changing it up a bit.

The weekend just gone I met up with Lois and we went to Sunbury, had a couple drinks in the local pub, had a proper catch up. She'd just had the job interview for the job she's just got which she/we are so excited about!! Finally leaving the nursery after many years.

We then moved onto the Conservative (or conservatory as I say) club where Lois' brother David and his band were playing.

It was so much fun, all of Lois' lovely little family were there, Sez came too and we had a really nice time.

It was so much fun having a boogie, dancing the night away.

We went home via mcdonalds obv.. and it was yuummy! I took some back for Ant and his mate Jack, we munched and I went off to bed, little bit drunkard..

Date night 💋

Erm.. what else!

Ginette and Albert which is Ant's mum and other half are staying with us for a couple weeks so they can work on the garden and mancave.

So I spent the weekend cleaning and preparing for them to come. I filled the fridge to the brim and made sure bedding was clean etc etc..

On the Saturday night before they arrived me and Ant decided to have a date night. It was so so good!

We quickly got ready and went out to spend our last night of freedom together!

We decided we'd walk into Staines.. via the pub.

So we went to the first pub on route and had a (very strong) drink. We sat in the garden and just had such a giggle. Swear I love Ant more and more each day and we get on like besties and have the same sense of humour.

It's just awesome.

We then carried on a bit tipsy now into Staines. The plan was to now head to Nandos.

We got to Staines and went to the first pub instead, oops!

Again, we had a drink and a laugh in the pub garden and discussed how we didnt want food but probably should get some.

Eventually we headed to Nandos.

The queue was 20 min wait and Pizza Hut was then staring us right in the face.

We went in, ordered some drinks and cheesy cheesy pizza, mmm! Writing this and I want it NOW.

We finished eating and headed back home.. you guessed it via the pub.

We were texting mum and Andy and sent eachother silly pics which got a bit out of hand! I honestly laughed so much this night and I wish I could write more about what (this was a good 2 weeks ago now)

Anyway, we got home and chilled. Putting silly songs on and having a dance.

I had a baby!

So I have finally had my little baby girl and I could not be happier. She is absolutely perfect and I am totally totally in love. So I tho...
