Garden/mancave pics

So I am up to date!

I just thought I'd put up some pics to show the garden and mancave progress as that's all we're doing with our lives recently..

We are so excited about the progress and the fact it's now taking shape so we can really picture what it's gonna look like!

Thelma and Louise

I dont know where this fits in to recently but I wanted to write about it..

Work has been hilarious recently.

We had a bit of a leaving do for a couple of the guys and we all had loads of grub in the office, we have a bit of a living area which is really cool.

There's a pool table, xbox, darts and loads of gamey things and teddys!

Anyway, it was such a laugh. One of the guys brought a nerf gun in and slowly but surely, everyone now has one.

We listening to music, few people had a couple drinks, it was a lot of fun.

So, since then everyone has got a nerf gun and it's been so funny. My manager got 2 delivered and so I've been using one.

I'm so glad I got involved as it is such good fun. I thought it was going to die down soon but it's just getting bigger and bigger.

This is me and my manager getting everyone! My director made the pic, it made me laugh.

Another worky thing that I've done recently is go to a Vitality Champ day.

This is a day out to learn a bit more about Vitality health/liofe insurance which we're all covered by through work.

So I am officially a Vitality champ.. at first I was so nervous thinking whyyyy am I doing this!?

But I am a little excited now to tell people about Vitality and try and get everyone at work motivated to exercise/eat well etc, even if they dont want to!

They gave us prices to give out the our team and so I am gonna make up some competitions and try and make a big thing of it.. I know that my managers would like that too.

The day was really fun, I was alone and a lot of people were in pairs from their work. But I met some really nice and interesting people.

There were some people that has won gold in Olympics as well, they were awesome! The host as well was really fun and had such a good sense of humour!

So yeah, I hope that the nerf wars continue and I hope that this Vitality things goes well.

Lifting ladies

So, what else is there to cover!

Me and Emma went to a Ladies that Lift session, I go most weeks but I've been trying to get others to join me for ages!

It was awesome, Emma is really strong and it was so good to have a friend there to make you feel more confident too.

I wish that Emma would come every week but, understandably doesn't wanna spend the extra ££ + the gym etc.

We did nordic curls.. which I've never done before. Emma held my feet/calves and then I slowly lean forward using hamstrings and erm.. behind your thigh and then try and get up not using your hands that much..

Hoping the video uploads:

Erm next.. I got my hair done! Nice and blonde:

I wonder what my hair will be like when I read this back ad I have a habit of changing it up a bit.

The weekend just gone I met up with Lois and we went to Sunbury, had a couple drinks in the local pub, had a proper catch up. She'd just had the job interview for the job she's just got which she/we are so excited about!! Finally leaving the nursery after many years.

We then moved onto the Conservative (or conservatory as I say) club where Lois' brother David and his band were playing.

It was so much fun, all of Lois' lovely little family were there, Sez came too and we had a really nice time.

It was so much fun having a boogie, dancing the night away.

We went home via mcdonalds obv.. and it was yuummy! I took some back for Ant and his mate Jack, we munched and I went off to bed, little bit drunkard..

Date night 💋

Erm.. what else!

Ginette and Albert which is Ant's mum and other half are staying with us for a couple weeks so they can work on the garden and mancave.

So I spent the weekend cleaning and preparing for them to come. I filled the fridge to the brim and made sure bedding was clean etc etc..

On the Saturday night before they arrived me and Ant decided to have a date night. It was so so good!

We quickly got ready and went out to spend our last night of freedom together!

We decided we'd walk into Staines.. via the pub.

So we went to the first pub on route and had a (very strong) drink. We sat in the garden and just had such a giggle. Swear I love Ant more and more each day and we get on like besties and have the same sense of humour.

It's just awesome.

We then carried on a bit tipsy now into Staines. The plan was to now head to Nandos.

We got to Staines and went to the first pub instead, oops!

Again, we had a drink and a laugh in the pub garden and discussed how we didnt want food but probably should get some.

Eventually we headed to Nandos.

The queue was 20 min wait and Pizza Hut was then staring us right in the face.

We went in, ordered some drinks and cheesy cheesy pizza, mmm! Writing this and I want it NOW.

We finished eating and headed back home.. you guessed it via the pub.

We were texting mum and Andy and sent eachother silly pics which got a bit out of hand! I honestly laughed so much this night and I wish I could write more about what (this was a good 2 weeks ago now)

Anyway, we got home and chilled. Putting silly songs on and having a dance.

Garden (work) fun

I've not posted on here in so long! I really am slacking..

As my mum said, it's better to have a gap than not come back to this at all because how much I've missed.

So what's been going on?! Mainly the work on the garden/mancave.

On the Saturday which is where I think I left off before, me and Ant woke up thinking we'd just do some more bits on the garden and it wouldn't be too bad.

Well as we literally sat our bums down on the chairs in the kitchen to eat our bacon sarnies and have a coffee, the door went.

So here's the pic I took 2 seconds before the following pic! We had to move all of these materials from the drive, through the house and into the garage/mancave, eeeek.

It was a bit daunting.

We quickly ate our sarnies and go to work! It was honestly about 30 degrees.. so hot.

Things were heavy, oddly shaped and slippery. So some were seriously hard to manoeuvre through the house.

Our neighbour, Joy, came out and gave us loads of support at different points, bringing us ice water (which was seriously needed) and a spray bottle to cool us down. She's lovely.

We took many breaks as it really was hard work.

Look at the best 'tan' I'll ever have too!

To be honest, we weirdly.. enjoyed it. We had such a laugh with each other and it was exercise so I guess you do feel good don't you? I burnt over 1000 calories (I turned my watch onto exercise and paused in the breaks).

We took a little break to the skip.. we realised it was getting late and we needed to do 2 trips so it was a mad rush but we managed it! Again it was a lot of effort, as it was heavy garden stuff.

Then we got back and tackled the hardest bit which was carrying the OSB which is thin wood slab things! I dunno.. but they were long because you had to do 1 at a time between 2.. there was about 70!

We finally showered and got changed.. we planned to go to the local-ish pub which is really nice and food is amazing.

Antony made us walk.. I wasn't too happy about this as I was knackered from the days work! So was he.. it was a regretted decision. So we stopped to get a drink half way.

We finally got there and had way way too much food.. got an uber home (thank fk).

We got home and did our usual sit on the floor with a kit each and speak to them as they're our babies, haha.

Sleep time finally!

Another weekend

Again.. I'm sorry but I can't be bothered to go through the week because I know nothing exciting happened really.. it was work.. gym.. life you know!

So the weekend we just had.. and then I'm gonna try and keep on top of this blog again! For future me/my mum will be mad.

So Friday me and Ant took a half day so we could do some gardening and prepare ourselves for the work that's starting on our garden/mancave soon.

So we left work, went to Sainsburys and Homebase and got all the supplies we needed. We then went to Subway and stuffed out mfckin faces! We seriously need to start eating better.. I say we.. I mean me.. I have been so awful lately just eating anything in sight!

So we finished eating and headed home to crack on.

I must say we took a 10 min break as we were so full. Then we got started on moving bricks to the back of the garage, moving the big plant pots of random stuff that had been left by previous owners. We hedge trimmed, erm.. I can't even remember. Oh, Antony cut up all the old decking and I moved it out back.. Why am I so bad at remembering things that happened 3 days ago!

But we did do quite a lot and I'm proud of us.. we then got clean and sat down to chill.

I'd defrosted a chicken jalfrezi I'd previously cooked and I thought it was bloody delicious if I do say so myself! Ant liked it but I don't think he's quite as in love with curry as I am.

Then we chilled for the night with a couple drinks but not too much as we had to work hard again tomorrow..

And wow, we were in for a shock at how much work was involved in Saturday!

Footie!

So again.. I am catching up.

I don't remember much about the week.. work and gym most likely!

The weekend, me and Ant did our usual chill on the Friday night. Watch tv and relax, ready for the carnage that is Saturday..

Saturday was frigging awesome! It was the first time I've ever got into a football game. The world cup is on and weirdly (I think?) England have been doing well.

So Saturday, we headed to the pub to watch the football. The sun was shining and it was an exciting day. I just love day drinking with lots of people tbh haha!

We got there and the car park was packed and we soon discovered that so was the pub. You couldnt see the tv screens or get to the bar or even breathe to be honest, especially in the heat. We sat outside with a drink eventually and ended up watching on Ant's phone.

We decided to move to the next pub up as we had friend's there and they said it was much better. As soon as we got up and walked out, England scored!! We ended up running back into the pub to cheer and get involved.

We walked up to the next pub via the air-conned shop which also had the footie on.

The next pub was much better! Bigger, more room and we stood by the door for the breeze. There were also loads of people we knew there!

It was such a fun day in the sun, catching up, cheering on the football and having a good laugh. Us girls were all chatty then would randomly give it a 'Come on England!' and 'It's coming home' is said 500x a day these days too. It's so fun!

England is such a positive place to live these days. Everyone's buzzing!

We ended up leaving the pub after the football and getting booze from the shop and sitting in a massive group in the nearby park. Why not ey!

So we sat, drank, chatted and sunbathed for the rest of the day. So beaut.

It got darker and we ended up back at ours with a few people, we continued the party until stupid o'clock.

Here's some drunken pictures from the fun day out.

Sunday.. we did nothing!! Oh.. actually, Sunday was HELL!

We were both tired and slightly hungover but worst of all is that our little Sooty cat was missing all day. We went out so many times looking for him, he's so nervous and so it was pretty pointless because we knew he wouldn't come out for anyone.. not even us.

We went to neighbours and on Facebook.. I know it could be extreme as it was only 1 day but he's really special.. if you know what I mean. And our kitties hardly go farther than the garden.

Anyway, after a day of pure depression at the thought of him never returning or him just not being okay (It was SO hot, he surely needed water).

He came running in around 9:15pm, and omg my heart was RACING. So relieved!! He was fine, nothing noticeably wrong with him at all. Covered in cobwebs so must have been in a garage or something like that I assume.

He was clearly starving though as he munched and munched loads of food. When he was eventually done eating we made sure we gave him loads and loads of sooty stroke and attention. I never want to let them out again!

I had a baby!

So I have finally had my little baby girl and I could not be happier. She is absolutely perfect and I am totally totally in love. So I tho...
